On today’s podcast, we’re going to get excited about the dreams and callings over our life and find out what fate and destiny have to do with our Christian walk.

Hello! Welcome to the podcast God-Sized Dreams in Bite-Sized Chunks. For a decade now, I’ve been working as a dream coach, helping Christians not only discover the purpose of their life but ways to implement strategies into their life that help them achieve those dreams – even the ones that seem way too big to achieve on their own.

God-sized dreams are just another way to say your purpose, your calling, your fate or your destiny.

What are God-sized dreams?

And more importantly, how do we have goals and dreams for our life? On today's podcast, we're going to get excited about the dreams, goals, and callings over our life with ideas that you can start right now so you can move toward those God-sized dreams in bite-sized chunks.

For a decade now, I've been working as a dream coach. Helping Christian leaders not only discover the purpose of their life but ways to implement strategies into their life that help them achieve those dreams, even the ones that seem way too big to achieve on their own. Dreams is just

another way to say your purpose, your calling fate, or your destiny.

My client, Shelly, for instance, had a dream to start a nonprofit, but she had no idea how to even get started. We began working through her roadblocks and her limitations and finally got to the point where Shelly not only started a nonprofit but has literally affected thousands of lives and counseled hundreds of women in crisis

over the years.

What is your God-sized dream?

What is your God-sized dream?

Another client, Tom, knew that God had big things for his life. But he just didn't know what. He invested in his education through my school and began

implementing the steps I gave him to position himself for a God-sized dream. A few months later, a man in ministry saw the integrity and character in Tom's life and offered him an internship in his ministry. A year later,

Tom was working for that ministry full time, was teaching staff at their school, and was creating curriculum for thousands of people around the world.

Dreams occasionally just happen to people, but mainly I see people walk into their calling and purpose by just being great stewards of where they are presently in life. God’s destiny for Tom was found where He was faithful to be a servant than God promoted him. These are people who invested in their own growth, like business, school, or online courses, even listening to a podcast like this one, whether they are actively moving toward their God-sized dream or

they are

positioning themselves to be mentored and trained up, these Christians realize that God does have a purpose for the life, and they're partnering with him to make their god-size dreams a reality.

Types of fate in the Bible

But what if you have a ton of obstacles in life to overcome? Malcolm Gladwell, in his book Outliers, talks about these types of people and how are they. They are the ones who usually do the impossible things in life. There's something about obstacles that grow us into the calling and purpose of our life, just like

Joseph was when God was preparing him to be the second in command over all of Egypt. This was God’s fate for Joseph.

Or maybe you can relate to my life. I had an amazing childhood with incredible parents, but I had two things stacked against me. We were incredibly poor, like Trailer park poor. And to top it off, I was born with cerebral palsy, a condition that affects the use of my hands and my leg. My parents became missionaries in the jungles of Rural Honduras, and even though that was the best years of my life, it made us poorer still.

Why God-sized dreams are so important in your life right now

My father, though, taught me a valuable lesson when we returned to southern Oregon, which is where I live to this day. He started a business from nothing. I watched him grow that business into a franchise and employ over a dozen employees and eventually grow so big that they were able to retire and go back into ministry. I learned several important lessons from my dad:

  • Number one, obstacles teach us that God can, even when we can't.

  • Number two, you're never too poor to start a business. That's my favorite.

  •  Number three. God rewards faithfulness.

One of my favorite clients. Mary used these lessons to take her hobby of making jewelry and build it into a business that now supports her entire family.

Mary became my client after she admitted to me that she didn't think there was anything in her life that God could use. Mary had raised two kids before her

husband left her. She had never had to support herself, and jewelry was the only thing she knew to do. I began coaching her to take her art to a local farmer's market, and the rest is history. Mary has grown her jewelry into a six-figure business and even has a line of jewelry that supports an orphanage in Kenya.

That is 12 kids in Africa that are daily being impacted by Mary's jewelry business. God wants to bless us. We can also bless, but we often take steps of face, courage and a bit of grit to make it happen. If you're listening to this podcast, I want you to know that God is so excited to give you a great big  giant God-sized dream for your life.

Too often, I tell my clients that's a great dream, but ain't big enough. Sister, I take God at his word. And if he says he wants to do exceedingly abundantly

above all, we can ask for or imagine, then guess what? I am on board that train, and I want you to experience the joy of an abundant life filled with God's

dreams too.
